Could someone please tell me how the cable of the Repeat DAY headphones is wired?
On the headphone side is a 3.5 mm TRS jack, I presume this is wired to L/R/GND respectively.
On the other side is a 3.5 mm TRRS jack, is this following CTIA (AHJ) or OMTP wiring conventions?
There is a microphone built into the supplied cable, with a button (momentary switch). What is the intended function of this button? And does it work by shorting the microphone connection directly to ground, or something else?
What should be the impedance of the microphone normally?
I’m trying to figure out why the wired headphones are not working with either FairPhone 3+ (from Commown) or with Lenovo Thinkpad X230 (no audio). Has it been tested before with either of those devices?
I’m disappointed at the apparent lack of a detailed user manual or repair handbook. Supplied with the product are only the 5-step assembly instructions and a QR code to read the same information online. The product page on the vendor’s website contains only marketing information.
Thanks for any possible additional information.
